About Us

The idea for this site was born out of the great results I achieved from some personal and business development courses that lay outside of mainstream education.

My life, both personally and professionally, changed for the better as a result of these courses which I highly recommend, but won’t right now because I want you to explore the site.  (Hey, whatever it takes. )

From those experiences I noticed a couple interesting things:

The first was that,

Not everyone shared the same opinion

My “great” experiences were not shared by everyone.

Certainly many people did share similar experiences to mine, and these people tended to coalesce into strong communities that practiced (with varying degrees of success) what they learned.  They also recommended their educational or coaching experience to their friends.

The people who did not have the same experiences ranged from being indifferent to becoming outright opponents of the responsible teacher, coach or organization.

The learning for me is that nothing works for everyone, and that while a particular teacher, coach or method may be effective, it may not be effective for you.

The second thing I noticed was that

There are hundreds of educational and coaching offers to choose from

Outside of mainstream university education, there are hundreds if not thousands of educational and coaching offers out there covering just about every aspect of personal, career and business development that you can think of.

The problem becomes: how to choose what's right for you?

The problem therefore is how to choose what’s right for you.

We’ve all become cynical about marketing copy and testimonials, and word-of-mouth especially from people we trust remains the best way for us to assess what may or may not work for our own unique situation.

I’ve used review sites in the past, primarily for restaurants, books and electronics but to my amazement there was no review site that catered to the workshops, seminars, retreats, self-study courses etc., in personal and business development.  Directories, information repositories, and a few expert reviews are what’s out there, but no place where people just like you, people who get the importance of lifelong learning, can continually share their experiences about a wide range of personal, career, and business development courses and coaching.
